I use a Raspberry PI with Squeezeplug to run Squeezelite and Shairport with output to a PCM 2704 USB DAC. Most of the streaming stations works just fine with Squeezelite but some have very distorted and crackling sound. Especially the Swedish Radio stations. They offer several different streams, AAC (32, 96 och 192 kbps), MP3 (32 och 192 kbps) and Ogg vorbis (Variable bitrate), but all works really badly. I have tried other high bitrate stations like Linn and the sound is very clear and nice. If I install Squeezeslave the streams sounds good but I want to use Squeezelite since it is better in all other ways.
I have before forced the USB to high speed by dwc_otg.speed=1 but this isn't working anymore after last raspberry firmware update. Squeezelite also hangs every night after being idle for about 6 hours with that option. Does anyone have any suggestions what I can try to fix the problem?
