Hello Clive, I've got (2) SD cards, one with R4 and one with R5. In both
cases the images from
http://www.communitysqueeze.org/images/wandboard/CSOS/) were written to
the SD cards "as is". I don't know if either of these images have what
you referred to as "the latest kernel" (how do I do that?) What code do
I use to update to latest kernel?

Both SD cards work in the Wand Dual, neither work in the Wand Quad. I
have not updated the SD card in the Quad yet because I have no ethernet
connectivity and I thought one must use puTTY for this purpose.

Now I see the link to instructions that you previously posted. Do I
understand correctly that I could use my Wand Dual via puTTY to update
to an SD card with either the R4 or R5 image from the wand/CSOS image
page? And using puTTY, add the code;
"sudo csos-cleanInstall-testing uboot-wandboard-quad
sync
sudo dd if=/usr/share/uboot-wandboard-quad/u-boot.imx of=/dev/mmcblk0
bs=1k seek=1
sync
sudo poweroff -f"

If this is correct, I should then use this SD card and install in the
Wand Quad?

Thank you for your patience with a newbie linux user.
