Hi Steen, There is a Linux distribution called voyage which has MPD within and one of the main purposes is to create Audiophile CAS player.
http://linux.voyage.hk/ One of its version is called "Voyage Mubox" works with ARM-based Cubox. http://mubox.voyage.hk/ >From the instruction, there mentioned something called Real-time kernel and he thinks 3.8.11-rt8 is the best. Do you think it will sound better? http://mubox.voyage.hk/realtime_kernel It also mentioned how to deal with the pop sound issue although it mainly focus on MPD. Hopefully you could read and see if it could overcome the occasional pop sound issue that I have with my USB DAC. There is also a download site for that distribution and it might help. http://mirror.voyage.hk/download/voyage-mubox/ Besides, I asked this question to Triode before and I hope you could also tell me your idea. I run "cat /proc/asound/card0/stream0" when the music is playing, the running status show me the "momentary freq = 48004 Hz" even I am playing 44100 Hz, Do you think it upsample my 44.1 to 48? As always, thanks for your great piece of software and precious advices. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ fourwed's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=60662 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97803 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
