Hi all, Was hoping that someone could help me out with a squeezelite issue I'm facing. I'm using a rpi 512 mb running squeezeplug 6.02 HF connected to my network using a wired connection. Installed latest version of squeezelite through the squeezeplug set-up menu with rpi audio jack as output. So far so good. I would however like to use the rpi wirelessly, but as we all know, combining a USB wifi adapter with the audio jack produces distorted sound. So I tried hooking up my logilink USB card to the rpi.
The card is recognised both by alsa and squeezeplug (using the squeezeplug -l command), but when I replace the rpi jack with the C-media front speakers as the output source in /etc/default/squeezelite (using nano command), squeezelite refuses to restart. Sudo service squeezelite status gives me [FAIL] squeezelite is not running ... failed! Switching back to rpi jack as the output source in /etc/default/squeezelite and squeezelite will start-up without a problem. For what it's worth, I have no issues using the soundcard with squeezeslave on a wireless rpi, but that doesn't support spotify. Anyone any idea what is causing this and how to solve it? Thanks for your support and the great work on squeezelite. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Michielo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=61855 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97046 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
