Are you attempting to have each player (SqueezeLite instance) become an airplay device?
I made a similar attempt (back in the days of SqueezeSlave). IIRC the main stumbling block was gaining access to the Apple Bonjour protocol for discovery and capabilities negotiation. While many clever minds were able to determine how to capitalize on spoofing the protocol once installed, there was still a dependency for the Bonjour code. And I believe that limited you to the OS X, Windows et. al., Fedora and Red Hat operating systems. That is not to say that someone couldn't find a way to make it work on TinyCore, but I guess I would predict it to be an uphill battle. Since you are loading SqueezeLite for piCorePlayer, that would seem to indicate to me you have a working LMS instance. It is a much easier path to add Airplay support to the server and then within the Player select the Favorite that is the incoming Airplay stream. Your apple device then become the point at which you select and control your music. Apologies if I've misread this. Or is there some requirement to have Airplay on the Pi? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mcdudeabides's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=57765 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97803 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
