Based on a Fedora based image, we use yum for software package updates between image releases. In a perfect world, there would be an image released, (timed to coincide with), the upstream distribution release, which in the case of Fedora is roughly at a 6 month interval. We are on the 2'nd F19 based image. I don't expect to need to release any more F19 images, before the release of the first F20 based image in December. At some point in the future, I hope we will also have a very cut-down image, like the pico based image for the Pi. I doubt this will be Fedora based or have an update mechanism. So updating that would mean re-imaging. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JackOfAll's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3069 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99395 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
