Hi truehl,

Try using only the front speakers:

Code:
--------------------
    front:CARD=Device,DEV=0
--------------------

Also make sure the volume level in alsamixer is set higher.
Excute:

Code:
--------------------
    sudo alsamixer
--------------------

Select the right soundcard with F6 and turn up the volume with the up
arrow button. I have it set at the level just before it turnes red.

Another thing (I allready told you but I am putting it here to to be
complete for others):
Switch the USB soundcard around on the USB hub (if used). My experience
was it was best at the last USB port, on other ports the USB WiFi
adapter (also plugged into the hub) caused popping noises.

Greetings,

Gerrelt.
