For convoluted reasons, I currently have two different Wandboards running LMS/F19 on the same network. They're pulling unique IP addresses, I've named the Squeezelite players, LMS instances and hosts in the web configurations differently. I've even edited the network files to include HOSTNAME=, so as far as I can tell I've done everything I can to differentiate the two.
I have a Touch currently connected to one of the LMS instances, GertrudeServer. Although it works, the display is constantly flashing that it's trying to connect to the other instance, TravisServer. This happens regardless of whether it's on and playing or turned off. If I attempt to change music source, the flickering increases to multiple times per second and the TravisServer doesn't even show on the list of available servers. I've performed all the available updates on both Wandboards (I think) and have rebooted both of them multiple times. When accessing LMS via the web interface, everything looks normal. There are multiple servers and multiple players, which I can connect together at will. Basically, everything seems to be just fine except for the maddening flashing on the Touch. My assumption is that somehow, somewhere something is making the Touch unable to completely distinguish between the two Wandboards, despite the fact that they've been rendered as unique as I know how. The issue seems to be Wandboard-specific (or something I've specifically done wrong in setting up the Wandboards), as I've run multiple servers on other computers for years now with no issues. Hmm...just checked out another Touch that's connected to a server running on a non-Wandboard...GertrudeServer shows up as an available server but TravisServer does not. It sure *sounds* like an IP conflict, but I am absolutely positive (thanks to SSH and each Wandboard's web interface being reachable via different IPs) that it is not. Other than being crazy enough to run multiple servers, what goofy stunt could I have pulled here? Thanks! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ atrocity's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16009 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99395 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
