I have a Raspberry Pi with piCorePlayer 1.13d and the HiFiBerry DAC. Works very well, to the point that I've had to buy a second Pi for playing around with. On the second Pi I have fitted one of the Element 14 'Wolfson DACs' (http://www.element14.com/community/community/raspberry-pi/raspberry-pi-accessories/wolfson_pi), then installed Squeezelite. This uses a patched Raspbian which has the Wolfson drivers. Setting up Squeezelite was pretty straightforward. It's a pity the same couldn't be said for unzipping the patched Raspbian!
I've been having some issues with a RALINK USB wifi stick with Raspbian (I couldn't get it to work at all with piCorePlayer and bought an Edimax) - seems more stable with a beefier power supply. I'm now using an iPad charger. Steen - if there's anything I can to to test mods to piCorePlayer for the Wolfson DAC, let me know, though I'm something of a newbie when it comes to kernel mods and module installation.
