Yes, I'm not quite sure what is going on with this. When the quad was released, I asked and was told that the quad was shipping with an updated carrier board, and that once existing dual stock on shelves was sold, all the combos (single/dual/quad) would be shipping with the latest revision carrier board. Originally, I thought it was luck of the draw, you bought a dual from a distributor with a low unit turnover and you might risk getting an "old" one with the original carrier board, but it is starting to seem like the dual is still shipping from everywhere with the original carrier board. The only advice I can give right now, is buy a quad. If you want to have a high degree of surety that you'll get a working TOSLINK out, that appears to be the only choice right now. I'll try and get a clarification from WB, but I wouldn't hold your breath. They either don't reply to enquiries or you wait weeks for a reply. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JackOfAll's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3069 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99395 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
