Yes, I have heard that too. Much louder and better for that. The RPi analog output stage is rather "hissy" and on 1.15e some of the quieter passages of music could get lost in the background noise. Not any longer. The sound from the analog out is now quite acceptable for casual listening - in my case to attach to the Aux-in of the ipod dock in my kids' den.
