Thanks for your questions, Krisbee.

I'm using a Core I7 processor in my server running Daphile.

As for modifications, at some point I would love to experiment with the
Linux versions of HQPlayer and JRiver (I know, they're not Squeezelite
compatible, but I'm still curious about them).

I don't need all of the functions of Daphile, particularly the CD
ripping functions.

I don't have Logitech Media server running anywhere else on my network.
It is, as you say, a stand-alone system.

I'm using a DCS Debussy for my DAC.

Yes, I'd prefer to operate my system headless as I do with Daphile.

And as to why I don't want to run a Windows based Logitech solution,
while I've used Windows software in the past, the reason I've been
playing with a Linux based system (Daphile in this case) is because it
is considerably smaller than the Windows OS (including Windows Server, I
believe) and sounds better to me. Whether that's a result of Daphile's
smaller size and reduced demand on the resources of my server, I don't
know. I just know what I'm hearing.

I hope those answers help to give you a better idea of what I'm trying
to do.

Thanks and I'll look forward to reading your reply.
