Hello Triode. I am using both squeezelite and your Spotify plugin on a
Vortexbox appliance. I have been working on a problem over on the
Vortexbox forum concerning synchronization of the local VBA player with
other players (a classic SBR and a piCorePlayer squeezelite) playing
back a Spotify stream. The VBA is currently configured to start up the
squeezelite instance with the "-s localhost" switch. When trying to
synchronize players I get the following in the debug log:

In working in the Vortexbox forum, I have found another user that is
able to synchronize their players using the "-s localhost" without
problems. However, for me I must remove the "-s localhost" and let the
player autodiscover my LMS instance in order for it to work for me.
My question - Is there a requirement to use the -s switch? Is there a
way to have localhost interpreted as the actual IP rather than the
127.0.0.1 loopback? Thanks for any insights you can provide.
