Ah OK. I get the slow or fast playback sometimes. I did not know it was solved ny high Alsa buffer values. Since it only happens once in a while I did not look deeply unto it.
About 2...I agree with you about the Server side. I also changed over to U3 as Squeezeplug/LMS server. What I meant was the clients. Your amp units seem to be built to connect to the server by cables, all players run on the server. The "usual" setup is to have sepwrate player devices (Pi with or without and then stream the music to them via Wifi or LAN. I'm intrigued why you would go for the central server/player setup that would mean lots of additional cables in a mult-room setup.
