I have latest picoreplayer (1.18b) on a Pi B+ with a HifiBerry DAC+ and an HDMI output.
I'm finding the performance generally excellent via both outputs and almost all formats (including passing through DTS encoded flac to my surround sound amp, which is awesome!). The one problem I have is with 24-bit 88.2kHz encoded flac (i.e. from SACDs) played over HDMI. At best these suffer from mild interference like surface noise off vinyl. At worst significant digital distortion, stuttering, etc.. I've tested 48kHz and 96kHz files and these play perfectly. There's no problem playing 88.2kHz files via the HifiBerry card, so it's a specific HDMI issue. I've also tested both Squeezelite versions - which makes no difference. Do you have any suggestions? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ d4n3ll's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7657 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97803 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
