Another one. Now related to the RPI (B+)

Arch offers "latest" kernel packages. Current latest package is
linux-raspberrypi-latest 3.17.3-2

You're using the standard kernel 3.10/12. 
Basically by using the latest kernel we'd jump pretty much ahead in
time. 

I don't know if Alsa gets backported, otherwise we'd run a more up2date
Alsa with the latest kernel. 
Arm architectures are better supported with newer kernels, asf, asf.

I think it's a good idea to consider the latest kernel for SOA on RPI
(B+).   

I'm running the RPI B+ with recent Arch update which comes with gcc
4.9.2 and latest 3.17.3-2 kernel. 
My RPI installation (Arch+squeezelite -- No SOA yet) runs that good
after the upgrade that it replaced my SOA-Cubitruck as main streaming
client.
