hi @gharris999
i am running ubuntu 14.10 with default kernel, Perl 5.20 (basically
vanilla Ubuntu 14.10).
After running the script it installs fine, i see users and groups exist
(user: lms, group: nogroup) ... and i can even start lms server by
starting lms-debug.sh and it works just fine.

However, i can't seem to get it to run automatically i.e. as a service.
When i try to start it with 'sudo service lms start' i get error message
(see below). I tried reinstall with --lite (which i expected to do no
change) but also with --sysv and each time i get message:

Code:
--------------------
    zh@acus:/etc/init.d$ sudo service lms start
  * Starting LMS branch public/7.9 git code
  start-stop-daemon: user 'lms?nogroup' not found
--------------------

It could be that on 14.10 startup scripts get slightly differently
interpreted ?

Thank you !
