Yesterday I updated my install from 1.1 to 1.8. I update git and build
the newest source via make. My system is an atom based ubuntu server.
After the update I got distorted sound for all non 44100 sampling rates.
After downgrading back to 1.1 the problems are gone? I checked the
output in the logfiles and did not find any cues what may be wrong. The
DAC within my TACT amplifier is showing the correct sampling rates ->
squeezelite switches them via alsa. I amusing an USB sound card from
Audio GD.

I have one patch in the my rather old ubuntu installation:
http://www.spinics.net/lists/alsa-devel/msg41179.html
The USB sound card did not work correctly with sampling rate changes.
The patch is still used and works with v1.1 of squeezelite. I am have no
clue about the internal workings of ALSA and the USB sound card stuff.

Has someone any idea what I could do? I would like to update the system,
but right now I have no idea what to search for.
