Good evening, like many others first I want to say thanks to the developers of picorplayer for investing so much time and patience! I'm a Squeezebox duet user of the first hour and really like that small box. Now I want to integrate the functionality in my preamp and therefor I ordered a rhasberry 2 togehther with hifiberry digi+. After writing a SD card with the picorplayer image I could start after 20min -perfect !
Now I'm confused that couldn't manage to save my settings in a way that they are reloaded after switching on and off my player. Settings means: Set output to hifiberry digi+ instead of analog (which is standard) I read many threads here and really tried everything to get it work - analog will always be back. Since I'm not an experienced linux user I tried to understand how the system is structured: -image of picoreplayer is stored in partition /mnt/mmcblk0p2/tce/ at SD card -at startup there will be a copy of it installed in RAM -changes I make are also stored only in RAM -without any saving I will lose it in case I unplug the power connector -If I want to make the changes permanent I have to save and backup it to the SD card I tried to do it at the web interface -> No success, after reboot analog output is back I tried to do it with putty ssh with command picoreplayer -> No success, after reboot analog output is back I tried to edit sudo vi /opt/bootlocal.sh and insert a line with my output settings -> No success, after reboot analog output is back I had a look into config.cfg after changing my settings -> I can see the hifiberry digi but after reboot standard ALSA device is back I set the rights to 755 with no success. Maybe my understaning and questions are a little funny for some people but maybe they could help also others with the same trouble :-) Is that a bug or do I something wrong? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mollihead's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64352 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97803 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
