@Steen, @Greg I know this is a bit of an "over-the-top" thing, but I thought there is no harm in asking...
This is about power consumption. Is there a way to reduce power draw in idle for the Pi B+? I just set one up in the bedroom, with Hifiberry Amp+ feeding two small speakers, and it draws 2.5w from the wall, no matter if it's playing music or just sitting there doing nothing. It's connected via Ethernet, no USB peripherals attached. Anything that can be done to bring that value down a bit? Currently I just pull the plug when I don't listen, but that means I have to get out of bed...not nice. Using a remote controlled plug is an option, but I'd really prefer to leave it on, then I could also use it as an alarm clock maybe. Anyway, if there is a chance to save some power, then I'd be very interested. 2.5w isn't much, but it adds up when running 24/7 and it just does not fell right for a device to use the exact same amount of power in idle and in use... ;) Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ CommanderROR's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=59408 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97803 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
