Per your suggestion, I grabbed the fastest card I had in-home.  A fresh
in-package Samsung PRO 32GB class 10 card.  Fresh install, default
settings, and yep still a glitch.  ALSA buffer set to 16384:4096, and
glitch is gone.  Glitch remains on analog output, regardless of buffer
setting.  I didn't test HDMI, but I would imagine its behavior mirrors
the analog output, based on my past experience.
