I recently built a Rasberry Pi2 with a HiFiBerry DAC+ and PiCorePlayer.
And it works great. Thanks to everyone involved in the PiCore project.

I started out with a CanaKit from Amazon which includes a Rasberry Pi2,
8GB SD card pre-loaded with NOOBS, and USB power adapter. I learned the
hard way that the included WiFi dongle uses the Ralink 5370 chipset and
apparently is not compatible with PiCorePlayer. I bought an Edimax
EW-7811Un ($9) and it mostly works great. See below for the one issue I
am having.

My next project is to build another PiCorePlayer, but using HiFIBerry's
Digi+ (digital) output. It turns out that the Marantz PM6005 amp has a
built-in Cirrus Logic CS4398 DAC and I think it would be interesting to
hear what it sounds like. I can always use a couple of Squeezebox
players around the house.

A couple of times yesterday, while streaming some albums from my
collection (Apple Lossless), I experienced droputs. The music stopped
playing and when I went to the PiCorePlayer, the music was still
playing, just nothing coming out of the speakers. I was wondering what
might cause something like that. Also, is there any way to tell what the
signal strength is? I looked at both the Squeezebox page and the
PiCorePlayer page and can't see anywhere that shows signal strength.
