JackOfAll and Greg, I changed squeezelite settings by removing the alsa settings and enabling the "-u E" flags as suggested by JackOfAll. It works only after rebooting the piCorePlayer. I will now test with local mp3 ogg and flac files. But I can say that the problem is solved.
