Hi furnace,

The original Raspberry Pi A is the only one I haven't got. If I remember
correctly the original Raspberry Pi's didn't have I2S brought out to a
header, definitely the Model B, not 100% sure about the original Model
A. It wasn't until the RPI foundation put the extra 8 pin header on the
B rev2 that the we could use i2s DACs. Can anyone confirm what I
remember?

The RPi A+ should be fine.
