Since Triode is registered in Github I was thinking to create a clone in
his name , but I'm not sure wil be correct in his respect.

To me is not a problem to fork Your triode-squeezelite repo, but better
than this could be having a fork representing the 'community' evolving
version, that people (me and you too) coul then fork and contribute to.

Sure You could be the mantainer, but I think separing your personal mods
form the shared one could be clearer, even if both contains the same.

If you did not already, You could then ask Triode to bring the ownership
(using the tool in GitHub), stating this in the first line of the
description and asking people not to fork from there but from the other
one.

In my opinion using a generic user for the two repo, like "squeezebox"
or whatever will help people to understand, but I live this completely
up to you.

This way I think we will be doing the best we can to respect Triode
job.

Let me know your mind about and lets do it, I'll be very happy to merge
my mods in a "community version".
