Hi, I am running PCP 1.21g on RPi 2B with a Hifiberry DAC+ Pro.
I am a little confused with volume controls. There is the LMS volume control and the one in the picoreplayer webpage which seem independent. I understand that using the digital volume controls reduces the resolution of the output, so one should have the volume as high as possible without clipping. Are both of the volume controls in the end doing the same thing? I have the PCP website one on max and the LMS one on 3/4 which matches the other inputs to my amp. Is that a good choice? One solution to the resolution loss is to upsample the signal from 16 to 24 bits. I think my DAC handles 24-bit signals, so I this turned on by default? If not, what would be a good set of parameters to put in PCP?
