Unfortunately, manually setting the power management afterwards did not help. But its interesting to see that this behaviour has no effect on the main Squeeze-functionality: the connection to the LMS is still stable and as soon as I start playing something, the Pi becomes available again. Therefore it might be that others are also affected by this problem but did never stumble over it yet.
