Hi Greg,

Yes I did. Also here I simply used vi to edit the .filetool.lst file. 
I tested it by including only the brightness file and later with the
whole sys/class/backlight folder structure. None of these work. Maybe
these files get overwritten again when piCore is extracting the file
structure in memory (? I have too little understanding of how this
works).

In any case, it would sure be a great feature to be able to control the
brightness setting of the display. I'm pretty sure other people would
want that too. I find the default brightness way to high.
