If it can convert DSD to PCM it is no problem to have DSD enabled by
default. But apparantly it does not do it for me. How does Squeezelite
decide if it should convert DSD to PCM? If it reads the DAC capabilities
then something must be wrong here. Or do I have to tell Squeezelite
manually that it has to convert DSD to PCM?

I agree that Daphile should not transcode/resample anything without me
activating it and I also consider this as a bug. But therefore we have
the discussion here. I did not know what actually is going on before
posting my problem.
