1) Log files (by default) are stored in the /var/log/slimserver folder,
which is in Ram only, and not part of any backup.   Log files should be
rotated at a 1MB size.   Cache and Prefs are stored on the SD card
directly.  It would be a good idea to not unplug your pi when running
LMS,  (Especially if you are running a Music Scan)   But LMS has pretty
good crash recovery built into it.    If you would like to store these
files elsewhere, shoot me a PM, and I can explain how to do that.   We
will be adding that to the web interface in a future update.

2) We will take a look at  that.
