I've said it before and I'll say it again, stay the hell away from the RPi (any RPi model) if you are serious about audio and want to use a SBC as a HDMI or USB digital audio transport. Dropped USB frames != bit-perfect. Any it is simply guessing, what is hidden behind the ALSA shim (in the closed source firmware) for HDMI audio output, including re-sampling. The Pi's excel as an I2S transport. And last time I looked at HDMI spec anyway, (which admittedly was some time back), 24 bit was the max bit depth, 192kHz the max sample rate, for HDMI audio. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JackOfAll's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3069 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105018 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
