I had the same issue after uprading from a raspberry pi2 to a pi3. My rasbian image with squeezelite & jivelite worked well on the pi2.
After upgrading my image on the pi2 and putting the sd card in the pi3 afterwards, Jivelite failed to connect to the LMS.
