I have been using the piCorePlayer with a RPI3 and an Audiophonics DAC for the RPI and was getting a very good sound - both using wired and wifi. The wifi has been very good and rock steady.
I thought I would try output via SPDIF to my Beresford Caiman II DAC so I bought a hifiberry Digi+ card which is supposed to work with the RPI3. After installing the card, I selected the digi+ output in Squeezelite and it rebooted and says it is running. All settings are the default ones. However, there is no sound from the Caiman II DAC neither via optical nor via the coaxial outputs. This is a puzzle because the Caiman quite happily works with coax/optical from my SBT and USB from the RPI3 and an RPI B, and I have read on AoS that people have used the Digi+ with the Caiman with no problems.
