Correct, your config transfers, but none of the extra programs that might be required for that config are installed. Those all need to be reinstalled. There is a change to the Repository from 2.x to 3.x, and thus why we had to eliminate the insitu update. With the major change to the kernel, changing your sound card to default and back might be needed too. For example, pcp 3.00 when you install LMS, it comes with perl 5.24 If we let the insitu update, perl 5.22 would still be used on that system.
