A buddy of mine wants me to think about the audio install in his retail store. I think the idea is to go digital all the way, probably on ethernet, and I guess there would be less than 10 players. But there is a second store coming up, so that's 20 overall... Standardizing on some Pi hardware (0, 1A+ or overkill with 3) and piCorePlayer seems to me like a good idea.
I've never used piCorePlayer, I would like to know if the following are available (or can be built and added) and can be made to work reliably: VLAN, bonding, bridging, iptables, ebtables, openvpn, hostapd, watchdog? Also, would someone confirm player synching has good chances of performing adequately in the projected application (accuracy not really important, reliability over very long periods of time very important)?
