I'm wondering why so many players? Seems to me you might be over complicating things which will likely lead to headaches later on. If they are all playing the same thing in sync then its going to be much more reliable, affordable and much less maintenance to simply distribute the audio around. Have one central player per zone and either use a 100v speaker system or send line level audio (balanced if over long distance) to local amplifiers at the speakers.
