Hi folks. I'm looking into doing dithering after the volume control. There are several audio players out there offering this. Especially for people who're doing PC based digital VC only this might be an interesting option.
Inmate darrenyeates has done something in that area: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?104629-Dithered-volume-control-for-Squeezebox For doing this he lets sox doing the volume control on the server and locks the local player at 100%. My prefered way would be if squeezelite could do that locally. As far as I recall, libsoxr won't offer dithering. Am I correct? How about ffmpeg?? Any other ideas??
