In times when a 128 GB micro sd costs less than 50 Euros it can really be an interesting option, especially for mobile PCP devices, to have your lala with you, without bothering with USB hard drives, sticks, hubs etc. I imagine that also power consumption would be lower. I've tried using the home directoy for storing mp3 files - no good solution, also because the backup takes ages even with only 30 songs. There have been two alternative suggestions in this thread: put the files into /mnt/mmcblk0p2 - creating folders and copying files does not work with WinSCP. I imagine that this is due to permission issues. Of course, I can create a lala folder there with putty, but then coping thousands of subfolders and files would be a hard job. Can I safely change permissions of /mnt/mmcblk0p2 in order to be able to copy files? Or should I create a root access? The second proposal was to create a third partition on the SD card, mount it manually etc. Would this be safer than the first solution? Thanks for your help & best regards Martin
