I've just booted a Joggler from the Squeezeplay external image, and can
confirm that the 'blank screen' screensaver does not turn off the
backlight, whereas the soft power button does. On my Jivelite image,
even the soft power button doesn't turn the backlight off unfortunately
- possibly a result of my changes to the screensaver applet, but it's
not immediately obvious why. I've had a bit of a dig but didn't get
anywhere, but now that I know the soft power button does this in
Squeezeplay that should give me a lead.
