I cant see the screen shots ?

The problem is the identification of the file type. It appears to be
WAV file but it is NOT. If you force a misidentified type to do
conversion you will probably affect playing of other file types - which
you have already found out.
LMS has to identify type (i.e. format, sample size , sample rate)
against a player capabilities and then it can apply rules to
1. Convert the audio format.
2. Convert the sample rate & size to that supported by the player
When LMS scans a file it identifies the file type(format, sample rate and
sample size).
When a player starts it tells LMS what its capabilities are (i.e.
supported for,at and sample rates). For example this is the log of
Squeezelite startup (logging enabled)
Code:
--------------------
bryan@minitower:~/./squeezelite -d slimproto=info -o hw:CARD=Audio,DEV=0

What does your squeezelite player report with your special DAC enabled
?
What does LMS say about your file - Format, sample size and sample rate
?
Thanks for the DXD links but I have already looked before my earlier
post and for your problem they advise - put DXD files in DSD format.
The site 2L when it distributes DXD files - they are in DSD format -
look here http://www.2l.no/hires/
AFAICT DXD is not supported type in LMS.
LMS scanner can identify DFF and DSDIFFF formats as LMS dff and dsf
audio types.
If the player reports that it can play these types - then LMS will
process the file correctly (i.e. p[ass then through transparently. For
other player with different capabilities (e.g. no DSD DAC, DOP ) LMS
will apply a conversion rule appropriate to the file type and player.
why can't you put your DXD file in a DSD format just like the 2L site
does ?
LMS converts files according to rules that so that the data sent (as
identified by Scanner) is matched to player capabilities.
Player can only play according to to the info sent by LMS. If the file
has a header, squeezelite will use it to do decoding or resampling.
Special actions to apply conversions overriding identification of file
type either by the scanner or by the filetype will cause problems for
playing other files.
