Oops, I have been doing that for some time but without being aware of

Do you mean that pulling-the-plug might corrupt a write operation? Isn't
it unlikely that LMS would be writing at that point? Normally, after
pulling-the-plug, LMS restarts exactly where it was (e.g. with the
current playlist) as if it has shut down cleanly; what do you expect
would be the harm?

And what then is the correct Shutdown procedure? Should I always use the
"Stop LMS" command before shutting down piCorePlayer? That would mean
using the piCorePlayer web interface.
