Well I'm thoroughly confused in that case. The sbpd script file only
runs after pCP has finished all it's other boot up tasks, including
starting Jivelite. Here's an extract from my pcp_boot.log, which
flashes past on screen during boot up:

Code:
--------------------

  .
  .
  .
  Starting Squeezelite and/or Shairport-sync...
[ INFO ] *Starting Squeezelite player: Squeezelite...
  Done.*
  Starting httpd web server... Done.
  Starting user commands... Done.
Setting CPU scaling governor to ondemand... Done.
  STARTING JIVELITE... DONE.
  Loading Keytables... Done.
  Creating static footer... Done.

  Finished piCorePlayer v6.0.0-b7 startup.

To setup piCorePlayer, use the web interface via a browser:

  Press [Enter] to access console.

In the background, ntpd is syncing time between piCorePlayer and the internet.
A large offset between 1970 and now is normal.
  *sbpd* -v b,5,KEY:KEY_EQUAL,2,0,KEY:KEY_SPACE,250
b,6,KEY:KEY_MINUS,2,0,KEY:KEY_Q,250 b,16,KEY:KEY_UP,2,0,KEY:KEY_RIGHT,250
b,20,KEY:KEY_DOWN,2,0,KEY:KEY_ESC,250
  .
  .
  .

--------------------

The last line in the above snippet is an echo of the final line of
sbpd-script.sh.

So I don't see how it's possible for the running of
/home/tc/sbpd-script.sh, as the final step of the startup sequence, to
suppress the on screen messages. I'm hoping one of the pCP guys can
offer some suggestions.
