I suggest temporarily moving the RPi down to the router and take the IP setting out of the configuration. There may well be something in the new pCP code base that does not work well with that - or it might be nothing to do with the problem. But we know that pCP v6 Beta9 works on RPi4 over wifi elsewhere so eliminatiing the differences when compared to a more typical set-up might help find the problem.
