Hello,
I can't WOL my NAS from my piCorePlayer (running v. 6.0.0), with Jivelite. Can anybody help me troubleshoot, please? My checks so far (everything is on the same LAN, some are wired, some are wireless): 1) I can play files on the piCorePlayer from the NAS when it's fully on. 2) I can WOL the same NAS from my Squeezeboxes (Classic V3). 3) I have configured the MAC address in the player's settings. Even if I manually click on "send magic packet" in Jivelite, it doesn't work. 4) I logged (SSH) into the player and ran -sudo /usr/sbin/ether-wake -b -i eth0 <NAS MAC address>-, still no good. 5) I ran Wireshark in my PC, captured the packets coming from the player's IP while the command above, but only got the communication between the player and my PC (Putty). I believe I should see a WOL packet there, correct? Architecture... I have wi-fi router #1 running DHCP. And wi-fi router #2 configured as a switch. Router #2 connected to router #1 through Ethernet. Both routers are running DD-WRT. NAS is connected to a switch, and switch to router #1, both over Ethernet. The Classic players are on wi-fi, and they are closer to router #1, I guess that's where they are getting their connections from. The piCorePlayer is also on wi-fi, and it's very close to router #2, I guess that's where it's getting its connection from. It's connected to a wi-fi mini-router (the multi-mode, travel type) configured as a client. I'm running out of ideas. If anything I said rang any bells, please let me know. By the way... I did find this 'post' (https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?110642-ANNOUNCE-piCorePlayer-5-0-0&p=950383&viewfull=1#post950383) on the 5.0.0 thread. Does "just on boot" mean the OS boot or Squeezeplayer boot? I'm not sure this is relevant right now because I can't make it work manually either. But if I get the WOL to work at all, I'll need to figure out how to make it work when I boot the player. And that wi-fi adapter I mentioned is quite slow to pick up a connection.
