I had a related question after my rebuild experience.

How do I backup from an application-level (for PCP, Squeezelite,
Jivelite, LMS etc.) so I can restore them on to a new installation?
Ideally the backups would be stored on a different storage
device/machine.
My assumption is that an app-level backup will be (more) portable than a
low-level copy of the sd-card, and will work if I migrate from an RPi3
to an RPi4, say, or restore onto a different size sd-card. Is that
right?
I appreciate that the LMS db aspect is rather different but I recall the
prefs files hold the config.

I'm afraid that I haven't the foggiest what the PCP backup ("Your
configuration file, Your home directory, Files and directories defined
in /opt/.filetool.lst") covers. Not indeed how to restore it.
