This is basically the same scenario as in 'this thread' (https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?112426-How-to-mix-white-noise-with-the-music-radio-being-played-via-LMS-and-SB3) (i.e. modifying the audio before sending it to the player, in this case using sox with the equalizer filter), so what I wrote there applies here as well. AFAIK, this is the only feasible approach (IIRC, plugins like Inguz or BruteFIR simply write their own custom-convert.conf, hiding the complexity behind a GUI)
