Summary: I've been running piCorePlayer (versions 3.10 and 4.1) for a while and decided to upgrade to 6.1. I've downloaded the image and transferred it to µSDcard but the RPi3 won't boot.
Details: RPi3 connected via WiFi. piCorePlayer6.1.0.zip downloaded and unpacked. Verified the image MD5. All ok. Transfer to µSDcard with linux 'dd'. All ok. Binary compared the card with the image, all ok. Mounted the card partitions and inspected them. All ok. Added wpa_supplicant.conf as documented. Unmounted the card and inserted into RPi3. Add power: red led lights up, green led flashes once, but nothing happens. Connected monitor to HDMI, ethernet and repowered: nothing happens, nothing on the monitor. Tried several different µSDcards (4GB, 8GB), no difference. Transferred the working µSDcard to disk and then transferred the disk image to one of the other µSDcards: boots flawlessly. So I'm pretty sure the µSDcards are physically okay, and that the RPi3 is okay as well. This leaves the piCorePlayer image. Tried the piCorePlayer6.0.0.zip and it works okay. So there must be something with the 6.1.0 image. Performed an 'in situ' update from 6.0 to 6.1. Doesn't come back after reboot. Just like the new 6.1 install. Nothing on monitor etc. Any ideas? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ sciurius's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13819 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111787
