When setting up my Topping D90 Dac with PiCorePlayer, I first started using FRONT:CARD=D90,DEV=0 for the USB Parameters for my DAC. Mostly because I used the trial and error method and this worked.
Someone more knowledgeable than myself mentioned that the FRONT Parameter went through ALSA, and that the Parameter should be hw:CARD=D90,DEV=0 instead. I tried this Parameter and it also worked fine. A few questions. 1.) What is ALSA? 2.) Does it matter which Parameter I use? 3.) What is the preferred parameter?
