You said in your first post that you have turned on WiFi ... can you say what you have on the "WiFi Settings" page in pCP (when you connect via Ethernet)?
Hopefully you have WiFi set to Off because - from the web interface ... "Setup piCorePlayer as a Wireless Access Point (WAP) less> Disable wifi client above to enable this button.
