Hi

I got the dreaded "Empty" this morning and found that the nightly
library rescan had deleted the database only to find there was no media
to scan - and it seems that mount has failed yet again. So no music for
a couple of hours.

Dmesg says lots of
[1170650.587186] CIFS VFS: BAD_NETWORK_NAME: \\a.b.c.d\my music

net view of the server shows the share just fine - the only change is
that I had to reboot my server to replace a drive and it seems that net
mount has thrown a wobbler.

In PC under Setup Network Disk Mount, it has the mount point enabled
(ticked) but the Password field is blank. Does that mean the password is
now forgotten?
I tried a LMS restart with no difference.

Then I clicked the "Set Net mount" button but it said [ERROR] Disk Mount
Error, Try to Reboot.
Afterwards it prompted to restart PCP - but doesn't LMS (as a database)
need shutting down cleanly first? Or does a PCP reboot do that?

Then I did a restart of PCP and then the Net Mount Enabled tick was
gone.

So I re-entered the password, ticked Enabled, and it mounts fine.

Is there any way to make the net mount functionality a bit more
resilient to changes in share availability, and also remember the
password?

looks similar, but with no sol'n.
